While Parker was at school, we went to a BYOB party in the park- bring your own balls! I got some good pictures of Violet and Luke.

There she goes..

today was the BIG day! This isParker getting on the bus for the first time. I was very nervous letting her ride the bus. She looked so small when she was sitting there waving at us. Abe and I both were a bit sad and we shed a few tears. Abe had "backpack envy" so I had to pack his lunchbox and backpack just to stand out front with Parker...The afternoon bus was over a half hour late bringing them home! I was really freaking out. The other moms said it was probably crazy at school trying to make sure everyone made it to the right bus! She said it was great- HOw can you go wrong with 3 recesses?

The berry Pickers

This morning we went Blackberry picking with our friends Annie and Ron and Cody, Ty, and Luke. It was so much fun. Ron and I are very serious pickers!! Out here Berries just grow everywhere. Like the wildflowers in Texas. Seriously, these were just growing on the side of the road. Ron found a great place that he passes in the morning when he runs. Parker takes her job very seriously, but he boys are much more concerned with eating. Ron grew up picking berries with his family. They would go home and have blackberry milkshakes. Of course, we HAD to follow tradition!! I made two blackberry crips and cleaned and froze the rest. Annie and I have orders to make Freezer Jam. I want to try to make Blackberry syrup. I will let you know how it goes!!

Girl Talk

I was in the kitchen and I heard Parker talking to Violet about all of the things she would teach her when she grew up. I knew I didn't want to miss this moment on film, so I ran to get the camera. Violet was talking (babling) back at Parker. It really sounded like they were having some Girl Talk!!

That is not safe!!

Apparently, my grandmaCitrone had a friend growing up who was waving her arm out of the car window, and it was cut off. My mom passed this story on to my brother and I growing up. I to this day never put my arm out the window. Parker and Abe started doing it, so of course, I had to pass on the story about Grandma's friend. Well, at every stoplight Abe comments on the driver next to us- "he is being safe" or "She has her arm out the window, that is not safe!" Yesterday, we were at a stoplight and Abe asked me to roll the window down. Sure- no problem, until I hear him say "Excuse me Mr, You need to put your arm back in the car. My grandma's friend arm fell off- it is just not safe!

All three

Abe and Parker really wanted to be in a picture with Violet! Parker starts Kindergarden next week on the 30th. I can't beleive it. I am really excited for her. She is also signed up to be a Daisy. That is the level of girl scouts before brownies. We know her leader and it should be great for her. I was a brownie dropout! Hopefully, she will enjoy it. James is excited to have a hook-up with the thin mints!! He LOVES girl scout cookies! :)

Soccer season has begun!!

Abe had his first soccer practice yesterday. He insisted on wearing his shin gaurds ALL day. Even running our errands. The librarians got a kick out of it! His coach has alot of experience coaching this age, 3&4 year olds. She was wonderful! He really loved it. He woke up this morning and the second thing he asked was "is today soccer day?" The first thing he said was "Today, All day, my name is San Marco! Please call me San Marco! " So needless to say, it has been quite a long day with Mr. San Marco!

Here is Violet!! She is sitting in a BUMBO seat that my kind friend Heather let us borrow. At first she was looking around as if she was seeing eveything for the first time!! I put it on the table when we are eating our meals. She seems to like that. Her hair is looking much lighter than before. Perhaps I will FINALLY get my redhead! Time will tell! :)
