Happy Thanksgiving!

We woke very early on Thanksgiving morning because a policeman was knocking on our door to tell us that someone hit our truck! We live close to a traffic circle. A man fell asleep, crossed over the circle and slammed into the truck! The back Wheel is really damaged. The appraiser is coming tomorrow, but We havea rental car.. they don't want us to derive the car.. The man was not intoxicated, which really seemed to be the only explanation!! if you could see the damage done before he even go to our car, you would agree. He is diabetic and was in Diabetic shock...

Violet's First Feast!

So Violet did some feasting of her own! She tried sweet pot's for the first time. I was making some for Thanksgiving and decided to make some for her. It was a big hit. The cereal wasn't going over well at all! We gave some to Luke as well, and he really loved them too. Violet is really grabby these days, you have to keep the bowl away from her. If you don't you will be sorry... She stuck her entire hand into Spinach dip! oops!

Kindergarden Thanksgiving Feast!

Every year at school, the kindergardners havea feast. It is a half day of school. They worked very hard on their bonnets and hats. They also weaved placemats for the occasion! They made invitations and learned songs to perform. Parker looked very panicked when she walked in and saw all of the families there. She QUICKLY got it together and then it looked like she was having a great time. James didn't get to come though... The food was a little scary- random potluck.. So not much "feasting" going on for Mom at the feast!

Portland

We went to Portland for a few days a couple of weekends ago. Our first day there, we went to OMSI Oregon Museum of Science and industry. The kids really enjoyed it. James left the camera in the museum! He ran back though and someone had turned it in. Usually (ok Always) I am the one doing things like that! Luckily, someone turned it in. OF course, when we got to the hotel, Parker accidentally dropped the camera! SOO the only pictures of that weekend are of the museum! We have sinced returned the camera and have a new one! :)

Blog Envy!!

Clearly, James has a bad case of Blog envy.. I knew he really wanted to get on here and post some things! So If you could not tell, James is in on the blog as well!. I hope all is well out there with you guys. We need receive amazing news regarding our friend Aaron, who is battling cancer. He is half way through his treatment and had his first scan and it came back completely clear!! He was at stage 4 non hodgkins lymphoma. God is good!! ( all the time) :) BUT this is extra good!! He is not out of the woods yet, so please continue praying for their family- it is working... :)
I have planned three crafting classes and they are almost full! It is really exciting for me. I do miss my ohio crafty girls though don't worry! :) We havea new camera and James will not put it down! I have been looking for a great spot around with lots of leaves to try to get some fall pictures. It is so beautiful here right now. It amazes me everyday.

on a sneaky note.. I finally found the deceptively delicious book by Jessica Seinfeld. It is about sneaking pureed veggies into your childrens food! I am soo excited because we have one really picky eater here. I will let you know how the decpetion goes..
