The concert

Like most girls we know Parker June LOVES Taylor swift.. When we found out she was coming to Seattle in concert we tried to get tickets.. It sold out before we could even get to ticketmaster... Connie had been twittering following on the radio station trying to win tickets... no luck.. but the week of concert they released some more! Since it was on Violets birthday I decided to stay home and send her with Connie and her girls.. They had a blast...

the candles

James got this shot of Violet blowing out her candles.. Her friend McKenna who is in third grade fixed her hair for her, Violet loves bouncy on top and now asks for a hair band everyday.. AND screams when you take it out for showers/baths..

Excited

Parke and abe both got a card with $10.00 inside from grandma lights.. Inside it says to help stimulate the economy- your mom will explain.. :) Very funny.

the ladybug

Violet was realy excited to get her wheelybug for her b day- they have them at a childrens museum in the area.. They are expensive, too expensive to have her own but a friend found some on major sale online and hooked me up! :) So excited.. she loves this thing and was really excited.. she loved all her gifts.. books from grandma and grandpa lights, a shopping cart from papa and grams, and Nan and mr. ross got her a knobbed cylinder block froma montessori store. I have pictures of that and will post soon-

the birthday princess

Our friend Connie bought Violet a birthday princess crown and believe me she is still wearing it.. :) Parker and Abe were seriously in Violets face during present time..

Violets cake

Violet is a cupcake hound for sure.. LOVES them.. so much that at the grocery there is strategy involved.. to bypass the cupcake counter.. My friend Candice made a cake like this for her daughters second birthday last year and was kind enough to let me borrow it.. It is baked in two pieces.. you put the top on after.. It is made by wilton, is heavy iron almost like a cast iron feeling, and she got it at Sur la table - LOVE that place.. Violet was really excited to see her cake.. she loved it and it tasted yummy too. sometimes they really do not.. :)

Vi and LUke

Most of the times Violet and Luke love and hate each other like siblings.. This is a great loving sibling moment. They remind me so much of Parker and Silver when they were two..

another example

Just another example of why Violet can't be trusted.. :) I bougth these Rice crackers at coscto and Violet can't stay away from them.. she is eating them dipping them is the spilled coffee on the table.. She loves coffee and will try to drink it it at all costs..

the tub

We have been so blessed with beautiful weather here lately. I mean perfection! It is lovely here in the summer, but usually not one minute earlier.. and that doesn't start until June or Late July.. Violet and Luke are taking advantage of the warm weather.. They hada blast sitting in this tub on Annie's back proch.. that is until they decided that they were too crowded and started to fuss a little.

Hello Cupcake

We had Annie's shower at a great spot in Tacoma called Hello, Cupcake.. if you are in this area check it out.. super YUMMY!!! the coconut cupcakes are to die for.. really. they have a room in the back that you can rent out for gatherings. so we had it there.
Our friend Lisa secured that and planned a fabulous shower! :)

A great gift

These are Grace's first rain boots. this is sooo funny because Annie has 3 boys ages 6, 5, and 2 and now grace. The older boys LOVE i mean LOVE rainboots- possibly more than abe loved his snow boots.. so our friend Alice saw these and got them for Grace because SHE MUST have boots.. :)

Grace

I know many of you know my best pal annie.. she was expecting her 4th child and had her 6 weeks early.. on April 18th. So she has been around awhile now and it is hard to believe that she isn't even supposed to be here yet!! So she wa able to come to her own baby shower. Talk about guest of honor! :) Here she is at her shower. Connie is pretending to give her cake! :)

catch up..

I have alot of pictures to post.. and I will. I know some of you like the grandparetns are dying to see Violet's Birthday pictures.. I have not fallen of the face of the earth.. I promise. We had a very exciting weekend. Birthdays and a returnign DADDY!! It always amazes me how far he travels when he is returning to us.. it amazes me.. I did not tell the kids and they were so excited when they woke eup saturday morning to a mommy and a daddy.. it was priceless.. So priceless that I have no photos.. I menat to bring the camera to bed so that I could capture their faces in the moment but he arrived at 3am and I totally forgot..sorry-
I also have some very cute pics of Parker getting rready amd going to the Taylor Swift concert.. :0 -I have a ton of school work to do but I will update very soon--
