So parker found this shirt with her fave motto "Girls Rule Boys Drool" on it- very rocker looking. She also is in LOVE with these skinny skinny dark jeans - very rock star- EMO style. :) Today she was back to her usual self- girly skirt and shirt- yesterday all business. She SLAVED oer her outfit for back to school. She had agreat day and LOVED first grade. Her teacher forgot to send them to lunch - she thought it was pretty funny.

Yesterday was Parker's first day of first grade! Very exciting. Here she is with her pals..at the bus stop.

Violet is loving her first smore.. like who wouldn't? They are certainly one of my favorites- Parker loves them too- Abe not as much as us.. Violet was actually "crowing" with delight as she was eating it- I wish you could've seen it- really funny!

You can't go to see world without watching SHAMU. We couldn't really get seats close but they were good enough.. Abe was really bummed that we didn't get wet!

LOngest day of vacation..

We also went to sea world and we got in free to boot! We were there from open to close! We did not set out for that to happen, but we just took our time and saw what everyone wanted to see . they hada kids area that was sesame street themed so one of in particular really like that. Violet can even say elmo now.. this is taken at the end of the day on our way out of the partk.

So I finally and by accident I might add have figured out how to put two pictures on the same post via picasa so I didn't really intend to put these two photos up but since they are here .. :) Parker really is such a great big sister. I am suprised by how much time she seems to enjoy spending with Violet. Of course, there are times when she does not love to have Violet following her all over the house but who would? :) Parker and Abe at the j &j ranch for almost two weeks at grandma and grandpa lights house so io do think she is a little lonely...

For graduation from Kindergarten this year Parker got a new bike and aViolet got a new car. She LOVES to go for walks in this thing. She honks the horn and uses the steering wheel. It cracks me up..

We were able to talk to Junie B. and take pictures after were got our books stamped.

I did not know what to expect when we went to see Junie b Jones.. It was way bette than I expected. The front of the store was cleared out for the children to sit down.. Then she came out with Mr. Woo the bus driver from the books and they had a 45 minute show about her books- it was really funny- afterwards we were able to get in line and she signed /stamped all of the books you brought with you from home or what you brought with you- we chose our faves to bring with us. We also got a little bag with Junie B. Jones stickers and a scrapbook like item. It was a highlight of the summer for Parker.

Parker is a huge fan of the JUnie B. Jones books- So when I saw that there was a junie b. tour coming our way we had to be there! Emily is also a big fan. They are books about this first grader and all of her shenanigans! Sometimes we use these books as "what not to do! " anyway one of the books is about the stupid smelly bus. So we pull up to the store and we see a semi turned into the stupid, smeely, bus- both girls were screaming with excitement! It was really fun to see them so excited- I do have visions of what it will be when they get older and are into music and boys...
