Parker's Palm Sunday Performance

Parker's class has been learning the words to the song "My Redeemer Lives" and the signs for the entire song in Sign language. Parler loves this song( so do I) I did have to tell her some of the correct words, it was very funny- but after that she was on the right track. Her class is 1st through 5th grade. She was really really nervous at first, but did a great job.

Palm Sunday Performance

Abe's class did a handbell performance. They have been practicing for what seems like an eternity.. The three boys, Abe, Ty, and Cody were so excited to perform. They also took it it VERY seriously. Abe gave me a handbell lesson as well. Their teacher was holding up cards with the different colors on them, when they see the color of the bell, they ring it. When you do not see your color you "MuST hold it to your chest ! " I always get a tear in my eye at church when the kids perform, and when I can hear the whole congregation actually sing the Praise and Worship songs. Grams was visiting and she got to see the performances - it was treat for her too.

swim lessons

Violet has been trying to get in the pool during Abe and Parkers swim lessons for abouta month now.. So I decided to try it out. I was really shocked. She did a great job, did not cry.. Luke tried out lessons too. These were taken the first day, the second day, she was kicking with the kickboard and blowing bubbles.. I think her favorite part though is wearing her "Babingsoop" and she gets to take a showere afterwards..!

Violet is trying to potty

The other day Violet told me she wanted to pee on he potty. I thought "yeah right" she would not stop.. So we went to the potty which she would not even sit on before, and pee'd in the potty! SHe then told me to get the "camah" I wa thinking what the doink is a "Camah?" After many attemps on Violets part to tell me she said picture.. Oh get the CAMERA!! Silly mommy! She has done it three more times.. I am sooo not ready to potty train!

the milking chair

For a montessori assignment we had to do a unit on a animal and then come up with an original work. I did the dairy cow. I really wanted to do something for the children to milk a cow. annie's husband helped me make the milking chair. It went over well! My friend Karen is milking in the bottom picture. :)

Sleepy

When nana and mr. ross were here it took violet a significantly less amount of time warming up to them than last visit. She climbed up in Mr. Ross's lap and took a nap!

Violet has given up the snowboots for now, but has found the purple cowboy hat..
